FINALLY!!!
Well, it finally looks like Spring is here! And I was just informed that the
flying field is ready for use!!! Now THAT makes it feel like Spring!
You now have a new club President, Tom Woods. Tom was kind enough
to volunteer to take over for me, as for personal reasons I just was not
able to complete my 2nd term. I want to thank Tom for taking over the job,
and I am very confident that he will serve you well for the remainder of this
year (and maybe next?).
I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve as your club president in
our inaugural year as an AMA charter club! It was a really enjoyable
experience for me, and I hope you feel I served you well.
Spring in this hobby is always a very exciting time, as we all try to shake
off the rust from a long layoff from flying, and MANY winter projects are
brought out for their maiden flights. I hope everyone will take that little
extra time needed to thoroughly inspect every aircraft before that maiden
flight...those few minutes may save and aircraft, or maybe even a life!
I hope the Winter was good to all of you, and here's hoping for a
SPECTACULAR 2nd year this flying season. Be careful, have fun, and
see you at the flying field soon!
