Why should you become a member of an R/C club?
There are many good reasons to join an R/C club, even if you are just starting R/C aircraft as a hobby!
- Clubs usually have their own designated flying field, free of
obstructions or obstacles. Your yearly club dues are used to maintain the facility.
- You will almost always find a few "veterans" of the hobby
who are more than willing to share their knowledge with you, which can save MANY crashes and alot of $$$!
- Most AMA charter clubs (such as the South Fork Flyers)
have AMA registered pilot trainers on hand to assist you in learning to fly, which can be VERY helpful.
- To be a part of an organization of people who share the
same interest as you. The fellowship while at the field or at the club meetings is entertaining, fun, and really educational. You WILL build some long-term friendships with the club members.
- To have a voice in the way the club operates and conducts
it's business, as all important decisions are a group decision.
These are just a few of the good reasons to join an R/C club.
If you are interested in learning more about us, please feel free to contact us. Or, if you'd like to attend one of our club meetings, you can do so, with absolutely NO OBLIGATION to join!
